Dave is a multi-talented designer and art director living and working and making stuff in Seattle, WA.
He got his first taste of design making band fliers the truly old-school way: sizing type and images on a Xerox machine and composing layouts with an X-acto knife and lots of tape. He soon graduated to more efficient, computer-y ways, and now moves fluidly between print, interactive and experiential design.
He is currently Associate Design Director at WONGDOODY, where his work has been recognized by GRAPHIS and the American Advertising Awards. He leads a team of designers, creating retail campaigns and other work for large national brands such as T-Mobile and Microsoft. While focusing on standout creative, he makes sure the work is always grounded in solid strategy, as he believes that's how you really move the needle.
He also bangs the drums for local band Massy Ferguson, for whom he designs album artwork, posters and, yes, band fliers. Sometimes using a Xerox machine, X-acto knife and lots of tape.
